Building The Greenleaf Pierce - Round Wire Day 9

The roof has been attached without any issues. These wires were fed to the outside walls. Because the wires were too short to reach the base, they had to be lengthened and soldered to the bottom base. Then they were soldered to the tape wire:

I added tape wire to the bottom base (1st floor). I will solder the wires from the lights & outlets to the tape wire.

I soldered all of wires to the strip of tape wire.

This is the attic painted with only one shade of paint so far. Torches has been added:

fireplace is lit too

walls painted

Building The Greenleaf Pierce Attic Day 7-8

Electrical wires from the 2nd floor

This is the wires taped down before I added the floors to the attic. I am doing it the same way I did for the 1st floor. I am feeding the ceiling light wires to the floors above. I will then create a channel and feed them to the outer walls

Now the floors has been laid

The floors are now stained (It's not dry yet)

Stone added to the 3 walls inside

Attic Fireplace

Here Henry is putting away his tools that are scattered all over the floor (He is a sloppy worker)

Building The Greenleaf Pierce Tower Day 5-6

This is the Main Tower. I added the Third Floor as you can see in the first picture. It went together very easily. I only had one stubborn tab but I cut it down some so it could fit into the slot. This is totally easy to do with your hobby knife. Notice how the round wire was fed through the outer wall.

Inside Shot

Now the instructions calls for the back wall (Kitchen wall) to be added. The Kitchen back wall is in. I just need to glue in the crown molding it the top.

The tower in the Living room
This is where one of the window seats will be (I am creating this it is not in the greenleaf instructions it will be shown later) . It will be covered in a burgundy & gold print. This one will be dressed in a plum or purple colored fabric I hope you like this chandelier. I thought the brass looked great with the glass shades

Tower in Attic

This is the tower attic with all the walls in it. It will be hard to add furniture and see into the room

This is the tower with one wall missing on each side. I did not like the fact that it hid the view of most of the room and it will be easier to furnish by removing one wall on each side. Laura, please email me and let me know because it's up to you to make the decision. I was thinking of making a lighted wall torch should go in here since you want a more Castle feel in the attic.

This is Lena's Sewing room

This is the Pink flower vine wall paper you and Lena Picked. I Love this glass globe iron detailed hanging light so much, I bought more. Henry liked the choice you picked for this room.

Bathroom

This is the Bathroom light and wallpaper. The light shade is real glass. The tile floor is white but the wallpaper is green and lavendar stripes. The trim is a very pale lavender. This is Sue stopping in to see the work being done.

Building The Greenleaf Pierce Day 4 Electrical Eplained

Henry is up and working full force tonight! First he drew a line where he would like to cut so that he could create a Channel for the wire to go. This is for the kitchen light. He made a V shaped channel (Don't cut too deep because this is thin plywood).

Henry then added some quick grip glue and put the wire flat in this channel. He then drilled a hole out through the front wall because that is where he will feed the wire through. The Quick Grip fills the Channel and add the stability & strength back into the floor

Henry then added tape over the wire to help keep this flush while it dries. Henry Father is reading some important information to Henry (Nope, you'll never catch him doing any work that will get him dirty)

Bathroom Wall Partition

Henry is putting up the wall partition for the bathroom.  *Side note to Laura Lena's Mom* I am not sure if you want me to put Tile floors in this room. Is Lena sure she wants this room to be a bathroom or do she want a room upstairs on the third floor to be the bathroom? I have the white tile floor for the bathroom and I was gonna paint the walls a pale lavender and have Purple violets painted on the walls. Baseboard & trim was gonna be a darker Purple (I am not sure of the space in the attic). Does she even want a bathroom? Let me know.

Bedroom floor

Henry installed the hardwood floors for the 2nd bedroom. He is so proud of himself. I put 2 clear coats of varnish on top of this floor (2nd picture below). I sanded the floors after the first coat dried.

Birds Eye View Wallpaper & Carpet for Bedroom #1
I am painting the trim Plum in here to go with the color in the wallpaper. This is a better shot of Bedroom #1 Now, you can see how the wall is wrapped around the stairs. The banister still peeks through. I think this is such a cool layout!!

Building Walls To The Greenleaf Pierce - Day 3

Day 1
I added the Kitchen and dinning room wall and the front wall today. I am waiting for the hardwood floors to come in. Once it does, I will install the floors, then move forward. Meanwhile, I started adding the wallapers I have on hand to the rooms they will go in. Most times, I add the wallapers and floors and lights as I build. You will notice this as you watch this kit come together.

Day 3

I finally got the first shipment of things ordered. This one had the floors. I installed, stained and then I made Henry Sand them. I stained them again because the fumes were too strong for Henry. After that, I put 2 light coats of Varnish on them. I also satined the staircase. As you can see, I started the wallpaper downstairs. That's Right, Henry Picked out and Put up the Wallpaper here. He is so proud of his work.

Kitchen wallpaper

The Kitchen wall paper Has been added too. There will be wood added to the bottom of the kitchen walls

Other Pierce walls

Now the other front wall has been added and the 2nd floor. Of course there will be trim but that always goes on last ;) You can see the wonderful paper added to the ceilings. The tape is holding everything together while the glue dries

This is the second Floor

Adding The Lights
Now I will add the lights to the 1st floor before I add hardwood to the 2nd floor. Details on how this was done can be read later on because I don't want to add too many pictures to this post right now. But at this point, they are added.  This is the adding lights link on how I did this

The Kitchen
The kitchen is pretty much almost finished (missing the back wall but I can do that until I start the 3rd floor) Lena, do you like this light fixture? Let me know dear.  You can also see I finished up a lot of the trim work in the kitchen.

Another entryway to the dinning room

This is the entryway under the stairs that lead from the front door. I didn't realize it was there until I built it. This kit is just like a real life house. Full of nooks and crannies!

This is all for today! See More Pictures of Day 3 Here or Go to on to Day 4 of this Pierce Dollhouse build!

Building The Greenleaf Pierce Stairs - Day 2

Staircase instruction Step #2
Staircase Front & Right Bottom Side. This is the two pieces put together in there slots. Henry had a hard time doing this but he finally got it together

Staircase Step #3

This is with the left bottom side added.

Staircase Step #4
The first Landing slot is installed. Henry is looking at the back side because that is the next part to do

Step #5
The Back side has been glued into place and the tape is helping to hold it together. If a person is building this house, they might want to put this on the first floor in the slots so that they will align the back side correctly. I put in The second landing on too

Staircase Steps # 6 & 7The second floor landing has been added and the upper section took me a while to figure out HOW it went in. I had to stare at the picture for a while to figure this out LOL. I guess I should get some sleep!!

Henry is testing out the work so far to be sure they are fit for the Princesses to enjoy. You can also see a better shot of step # 8

Step # 8I added the risers and then Henry put in the stairs

Completion:

This is the staircase completely assembled with bannisters and all
