Building The Greenleaf Pierce Outside Clay Stone & Brick - Day 10 -11

The porch roof has been added and it was simple to glue together. I used Quick Grip glue because it has a firm and fast grip on the parts needing to be glued together. The Porch roofs were added before the clay was! I changed the roof to the tower and made it pointed. The clay is drying on this side of the house.

Henry finally started sculpting the stones in the clay. first he put timber up and stained them. Then he started adding the brick & stone look to the clay. We keep telling Henry to please be careful going up and down the ladder!!

I have used 4 packs of 16oz paperclay so far here! Henry had a problem putting in doors and decided to get more help! These are the windows for the dinning room door. Laura, since I know ya like peacocks, I thought I would add a couple here. (It was so cool to find out that me and Lena's mom have SOOOo Much in common, we both love peacocks, and have a lot in common as to style and even personality traits. This was a cool and such a fun project for me)!!

This is Chuck, he installed the porch lights

Henry Really loves his Crew of workers.  Chuck is the young construction worker and the guy with the construction hat on name is Steve. You met young Bobby earlier. Yeap, they are all related.

Building The Greenleaf Pierce - Round Wire Day 9

The roof has been attached without any issues. These wires were fed to the outside walls. Because the wires were too short to reach the base, they had to be lengthened and soldered to the bottom base. Then they were soldered to the tape wire:

I added tape wire to the bottom base (1st floor). I will solder the wires from the lights & outlets to the tape wire.

I soldered all of wires to the strip of tape wire.

This is the attic painted with only one shade of paint so far. Torches has been added:

fireplace is lit too

walls painted

Building The Greenleaf Pierce Attic Day 7-8

Electrical wires from the 2nd floor

This is the wires taped down before I added the floors to the attic. I am doing it the same way I did for the 1st floor. I am feeding the ceiling light wires to the floors above. I will then create a channel and feed them to the outer walls

Now the floors has been laid

The floors are now stained (It's not dry yet)

Stone added to the 3 walls inside

Attic Fireplace

Here Henry is putting away his tools that are scattered all over the floor (He is a sloppy worker)

Building The Greenleaf Pierce Tower Day 5-6

This is the Main Tower. I added the Third Floor as you can see in the first picture. It went together very easily. I only had one stubborn tab but I cut it down some so it could fit into the slot. This is totally easy to do with your hobby knife. Notice how the round wire was fed through the outer wall.

Inside Shot

Now the instructions calls for the back wall (Kitchen wall) to be added. The Kitchen back wall is in. I just need to glue in the crown molding it the top.

The tower in the Living room
This is where one of the window seats will be (I am creating this it is not in the greenleaf instructions it will be shown later) . It will be covered in a burgundy & gold print. This one will be dressed in a plum or purple colored fabric I hope you like this chandelier. I thought the brass looked great with the glass shades

Tower in Attic

This is the tower attic with all the walls in it. It will be hard to add furniture and see into the room

This is the tower with one wall missing on each side. I did not like the fact that it hid the view of most of the room and it will be easier to furnish by removing one wall on each side. Laura, please email me and let me know because it's up to you to make the decision. I was thinking of making a lighted wall torch should go in here since you want a more Castle feel in the attic.

This is Lena's Sewing room

This is the Pink flower vine wall paper you and Lena Picked. I Love this glass globe iron detailed hanging light so much, I bought more. Henry liked the choice you picked for this room.

Bathroom

This is the Bathroom light and wallpaper. The light shade is real glass. The tile floor is white but the wallpaper is green and lavendar stripes. The trim is a very pale lavender. This is Sue stopping in to see the work being done.

Building The Greenleaf Pierce Dollhouse - Day 1

I was asked to build this Pierce Dollhouse that was Created Especially for 8 Year Old Lena who LOVES Purple and Princesses. This Pierce is a loving gift from her parents. This Greenleaf House will become her dream place to be.

These are the two foundation pieces that we must start with. Henry will be helping me assemble this foundation later on. I started assembling the base starting with part number 3. I used tape and Quick Grip glue because it dries faster than wood glue and it holds wood well too.

I had assembled this part wrong. Now I notice that tabs must face upwards:

Henry is the General Contractor managing the building Process. He is making sure that the work is done correctly. Hi There Lena!!

Henry is showing in this picture how you have to add the foundation on top of the first floor. You must align the tabs and press them into place. They kept poping out so Henry decided to add the tape while the glue sets.

Here Henry decided to take these Hooked on phonics Books to help keep the first floor parts in place. I guess Hooked On Phonics Works For Me Too!! Well , Part "A" is not completed. Step "B' will be a Monster to work on but it can be done. It's the winding Stairs. It Looks Fabulous in the pictures I have seen from other people who have built this kit. Talk to you later Lena Dear and have sweet dreams about Your Castle!!
