New OOAK Tudor Custom Dollhouse For Sale

Today, I'm posting about this house that I was able to build. This is a bashed (edited) Primrose Cottage dollhouse. It's now for sale on eBay.

 ðŸŒ·ðŸŒ· It’s SOLD🌷🌷
Here's the description

Birds & Butterflies are little creatures you'll see peeping around this cute little cottage!

Sometimes, I get so excited about a project when it begins to look like what I saw in my minds eye and this house did not disappoint me. It has been electrified so all of the lights and the outlets work and come on when plugged in (Transformer and lead in wire not included in this auction). The outdoor lamp has pretty red flowers in full bloom with a fluttering butterfly stopping by to taste it's nectar. The flower box under the lower window is also full of flowers.

The roof tiles, stones and brick and even the grassy base are all created using creative paperclay. I hand sculpted and then hand painted each and every shingle, stone & brick various colors to create the realistic & fantastical dream cottage you see pictured right here. Many long hours went into creating this house that can be passed down as a family heirloom

I made the Wisteria Vine with delicate flower blooms and realistic leaves with branches just like a real one does. There are over 100 tiny colorful flower petals scattered across the front of the yard.  The herringbone brick walkway also add some extra eye candy & charm to this cozy cottage. The upper outside Dormer window  was hand created by me and has a cute bird perched there taking in the beauty around it. The upper walls has stucco with exposed brick peeping through. This Cottage is extremely Charming!

Moving on to the insides of this cottage, there has been things added to customize and add a touch "charm". The wood floors upstairs were painted white and the lower level floor has a stone pattern that was hand cut by me (not real stone). The walls are stucco and trimmed in white wood and there is 2 hanging light fixtures and 1 outlet on each floor.

This was a fun house for me to build. The dream house is 1" scale and the measurements are 14" W x 19"H x 14 1/2" D (including the yard).  This house is 1" scale (1" = 1' scale). Here's the link to the eBay auction:

Lily Dollhouse Build Blog Day 2 & 3 Window Assembly

Window Assembly

After reading everyone else blog & studying the instructions and the box picture, I thought I should add the windows now because once some of the walls go up, I will not have access to some areas in the rooms.

I started by painting the surrounds of the windows because I know a portion of them will show. Then I added the "Sashes". On the outside of the house, they go on top. on the inside of the house, they go at the bottom.

This is the picture of the Windows Casings added

I Love the way these windows assemble because they look like they are working windows. I will add the other steps and pictures for the windows shortly. This was the part I would get a lot of questions from others on because their were no pictures in the instruction. I hope having the pictures now help you all out.

Window Assembly
I added the casing bottoms which are pictured below

I then painted the wood above the windows because that part will show through when the Pediments are put into place

I then added the Pediments and you can see that the lighter green shows through the darker green color of the pediment

I then added the pediment caps to the windows which rests on top and centered on the pediment. I also added the corner blocks to the windows:

I then added a dirty wash of Green umber to darken the bright colors and also to blend them. I will put on another wash after this one dries
Thank You for stopping by to read my blog today!

Coventry Cottage Dollhouse Building Blog Days 11 & 12

4 May 2006

Painting has Started

No matter how many times I have worked with Paper clay, it always amazes me to see the house "Spring to Life" when you add just a little bit of color to it. I dirty washed the entire house and have only added one color so far to the bricks and the Shingles. Yes there are more colors to add to them to make them look more realistic and I have not started the stones (other than the dirty wash) but I am very pleased with how it is turning out.

It is beginning to look like what I imagined it to look in my minds eye. I did decide to add a very small base for this house.

Enjoy the "Eye Candy" below!!

More Painting

I have done more painting but I am still not finished. I had expected to finish this house last night but this was as far as I got. I still have to add 2 more colors on all bricks and stone and 1 more color to the roof to give it the proper aged look.

I know I will finish by next week for sure!

Enjoy the pictures!

More Painting

I have completed this house!! It is raining so I have not had the chance to take pictures out side but to see the ones I took so far you can look in my Coventry Cottage gallery too. I will add better pictures when I can get outdoors and do that.

This house was very fun to build and decorate. I want you all to leave my blog  knowing you should NOT feel afraid to alter your houses!! Each kit can turn into a unique item. Just think outside of the picture on the box! So many people miss out on these wonderful houses because they are afraid to think outside of the box. Don't just see a pink house and think that is the way the house has to be. Bring in your own personality. Bash the kit. When you have questions know I are always here to help!!

Even building the house as it is on the box can be VERY rewarding. Some people look down on diecut dollhouses but I have not only told you, I have shown you that you can do a LOT with a diecut Greenleaf house! Have fun and Build On!!

This is the Kit box Picture and my edited version of this house

Building The Greenleaf Pierce Dollhouse - Day 1

I was asked to build this Pierce Dollhouse that was Created Especially for 8 Year Old Lena who LOVES Purple and Princesses. This Pierce is a loving gift from her parents. This Greenleaf House will become her dream place to be.

These are the two foundation pieces that we must start with. Henry will be helping me assemble this foundation later on. I started assembling the base starting with part number 3. I used tape and Quick Grip glue because it dries faster than wood glue and it holds wood well too.

I had assembled this part wrong. Now I notice that tabs must face upwards:

Henry is the General Contractor managing the building Process. He is making sure that the work is done correctly. Hi There Lena!!

Henry is showing in this picture how you have to add the foundation on top of the first floor. You must align the tabs and press them into place. They kept poping out so Henry decided to add the tape while the glue sets.

Here Henry decided to take these Hooked on phonics Books to help keep the first floor parts in place. I guess Hooked On Phonics Works For Me Too!! Well , Part "A" is not completed. Step "B' will be a Monster to work on but it can be done. It's the winding Stairs. It Looks Fabulous in the pictures I have seen from other people who have built this kit. Talk to you later Lena Dear and have sweet dreams about Your Castle!!
